We are the market leading provider of the CHARMS™ online application to help social care service providers in the UK and Ireland manage their case files securely.
CHARMS, is the engine behind the adoption registers for England, Wales and Northern Ireland and more than 400 statutory and independent children's care providers, including Barnardo's and Action for Children.
For over 20 years our systems have provided easy-to-use, electronic case management systems for thousands of front line staff within Adoption, Fostering, Residential, Semi-Independence, Education, Shared Lives and Young Carer services.
We have over 30 people working in our teams and we are now looking for enthusiastic Support Officers to join our Project Teams at our Manchester and Heywood based offices. Working within one of our Project Teams that are responsible for a range of duties you will be expected to bring your enthusiasm and experience to help SCN to deliver Charms™ to new and existing clients to ensure that it stays at the forefront and meeting the needs of social care providers
Support Officer role : What will you be doing? (Core Duties/Responsibilities)
  • Providing excellent and knowledgeable telephone support to existing customers
  • Assisting in coordinating projects to plan implementations of CHARMS™ across the UK
  • Assisting with providing training to social workers, and support staff working in frontline adoption agencies
  • Collaborating closely with other teams including developers
We are looking for someone who has the following skills / behaviours
  • Great customer skills
  • Great basic IT skills (such as email, MS Word etc.)
  • Familiarity with online case management systems
  • Good at communicating at all levels (verbal and written)
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • A willingness to contribute to team efficiency through sharing information and constructively supporting others
  • Able to work flexibly according to the business requirements
  • Willing to work across the organisation including attending other office locations - currently Manchester and Heywood
  • Able to travel to client sites across the UK and Ireland, if required
Desirable:
  • Some knowledge of CHARMS(TM)
  • Worked in an adoption/fostering (or similar) environment/agency
  • Understanding of the adoption/fostering process including recruitment, assessment, panel, matching etc.
  • Own Driving Licence
