ASSET is the ground-breaking, web based application which allows staff of Adults' Services to access information on their caseload securely wherever they are and whenever they need it. ASSET has been the most popular database system used by Supported Employment agencies since 1996. The Learning and Employment Service works with a range of community organisations to support a wide range of learning opportunities. The service also provides information, advice and guidance to anyone 18 and over, on any issue relating to learning and work.
The service is free, impartial and confidential. Whether you want to improve your career prospects, get a qualification or just make the most of your job, the service can help you.

Our Mission is:

The service can help you to get back into learning, develop your skills and improve your career prospects. We can:

give advice on ways to search for and apply for jobs, e.g. interview skills, CV workshop, completing applications forms, basic IT skills.
help link your personal interests and skills to your job or career;
give advice on ways to progress in a career;
identify the skills you may need and refer you to other support (if necessary) to help you to improve your reading, writing and maths skills;
refer you to other support available;
help you understand the job market;
give advice about financial support available;
give advice about services available during redundancy, including how to access services;
give advice about what is and is not available, and discuss alternatives.
The team have extensive experience of supporting people with a range of needs, many of whom have multiple barriers to overcome.

The service is also the primary deliverer of careers advice, advice and guidance services, and a range of other advice services across the borough.

Dec 2009 : TACT agree to go ahead with CHARMS

The North Wales Adoption Service have now purchased CHARMS after recognising that it offers the best solution for Social Workers across North Wales to access information when they need it. The North Wales Adoption Service is a combined service from local authority adoption teams in Wrexham, Flintshire, Denbighshire, Conwy, Gwynedd and Ynys Mon. We work together to help find local families for local children in North Wales. July 2009 : Optimum Fostering get CHARMS

We are very grateful to Michael Lee and colleagues at Optimum Fostering for making July one of the best months CHL has ever had in terms of new customers. After a demonstration just last week in their new offices in Croydon Optimum Fostering have chosen CHARMS as the system to meet all of their day to day Carer tracking and referral monitoring needs. Optimum Fostering have chosen to let CHL host their data, securely on ZEN Internet's managed server. The CHARMS Online system has now been in active use for more than 5 years and offers complete records and document management with complete security. Mark and Tony are to visit Croydon on Wednesday, 29/7/2009 to train the key users and help to input the first records. Thanks again to Michael and his team.

On 23/7/2009 CHL's Jim Moores andTony Francespent the morning with Lisa, Andy and Laura. After installing 5Outcomes we ran through its main features andCANW can now take full advantage of its ease of use.

5Outcomes links to the Children records in CHARMS and allows the user to record progress against the full set of questions in Schedule 3 of the National Framework Contract for Independent Fostering Agency placements.

CHARMS is fast becoming the fostering software of choice for Independent Fostering Agencies and Local Authority fostering services.

Likewise, CHARMS is fast becoming the most widely used adoption software in the UK.

CHARMS is fully web based and can be used in any type of computer environment.
