identify the skills you may need and refer you to other support (if necessary) to help you to improve your reading, writing and maths skills;
refer you to other support available;
help you understand the job market;
give advice about financial support available;
give advice about services available during redundancy, including how to access services;
give advice about what is and is not available, and discuss alternatives.
The team have extensive experience of supporting people with a range of needs, many of whom have multiple barriers to overcome.

The service is also the primary deliverer of careers advice, advice and guidance services, and a range of other advice services across the borough.

We are pleased to announce that TACT and CHL have signed the contract for CHARMS - the complete fostering/foster care software. Plans are now being prepared to implement CHARMS in all TACT regional offices inScotland, Wales and England from January 2010. The Adolescent and Children’s Trust (TACT) is the UK’s largest charity provider of fostering and adoption services. Our core work involves providing high quality and well supported fostering or adoptive families for children and young people in the care of local authorities. The North Wales Adoption Service have now purchased CHARMS after recognising that it offers the best solution for Social Workers across North Wales to access information when they need it. The North Wales Adoption Service is a combined service from local authority adoption teams in Wrexham, Flintshire, Denbighshire, Conwy, Gwynedd and Ynys Mon. We work together to help find local families for local children in North Wales.
