The system was originally developed for the Stockport branch of the Greater Manchester Federation of Victim Support Schemes and enables the input of information on victims’ referrals and of their progress through the Criminal Injuries Compensation process. June 2001 - CHL Adoption & Fostering System NOW ONLINE

CHARMS  - Computing Help Adoption Register Management System  is now online and being used by the Adoption Register. Developed  with the help of a number of Adoption Agencies  and Consortia, it's value has now been recognised  by Norwood Ravenswood who are charged with running  the Register on behalf of the Department of Health.    
The A&F system is successfully used to record  children and family details and, crucially, to  produces matches based on Ethnic Origin, Gender,  Age, Special Needs, Contact Issues and other criteria.   
The A & F system will allow Agencies that  use it to automatically send records to the Adoption  Register for England and Wales, and to report  on progress.

May 2001 - CHL Sure Start System - now ready for use

Sure Start - CHL system to be completed by mid August 2001. To meet the increasing demand for computer systems to monitor the progress of Sure Start initiatives CHL have been working on a Client database system to store information about children and parents. Built around the Sure Start Aims, Objectives and Targets (Public Service Agreement) , CHL's SureStart System will help Schemes to gather information about children under 4 and their parents. It will then follow their progress through the Sure Start programme. Generating Government statistics at the click of a button.
